Principles of HTML, XHTMLIf you live in the Charlotte area, and are interested in learning more about web development, you need to check out Central Piedmont Community College‘s new Web Technology Series. It’s a 6-part series in their Continuing Education program. It’s great for people who want to learn more to get a better job, improve their skills to get a better position at their current company, or are looking to make a transition to a career as web developer. The next class (Principles of HTML, XHTML, and DHTML) starts Monday, Jan 27th and runs Mondays and Wednesdays 6pm-9pm.1

Principles of HTML, XHTML, and DHTML

The course is designated WEB7201 and it is geared toward beginner and intermediate HTML coders. If you took the Principles of Web Design (WEB7200) course in September, you will be ahead of the game and know a great deal of the initial terminology, the basics of HTML and have worked in the Dreamweaver and Photoshop interfaces.

  • the basics of building structured Web pages with HTML and XHTML,
  • how to add text and images to Web pages,
  • how to create tables, and forms, and
  • how to format and design Web pages using Cascading Style Sheets (or CSS).

  13. Creating Dynamic HTML (DHTML).
  14. Developing Web Pages for Mobile Devices.
