Well, really, that’s just all. The Metheneys spent a couple of weeks in Tucson, Arizona and while I wouldn’t want to live here, it’s a fun place to visit. We met with Cheryl & Marshall Brown, (Melinda’s known Cheryl since about the 3rd grade!) and went with them down to the historical town of Tombstone. Melinda nagged every dress-up cowboy she could find to get her picture taken with them. The town itself is about what you would expect for a touristy, old Western town. We had a great time. I bought myself a Calvary bib shirt that I have wanted forever and Melinda surprised me with a canvas/all weather duster to ride on the bike in. I have embraced my inner John Wayne.

Tucson Festival of Books

I went and met/saw Craig Johnson, author of the Walt Longmire Mysteries, and my favorite author at the Tucson Festival of Books. I am usually not a Fan Boy, but this guy is a real Wyoming rancher, a genius at writing, and truly humble. His stories about his writing beginnings were hysterical. You can read more about it here.

Casino Del SolChips or "tokes"

While in Tucson, I spent some very profitable time at the Casino Del Sol.  It is a nice casino but has a smallish poker room that caters to locals and I guess I got both lucky and may have had the benefit of some experience in tougher casinos. I actually made enough to get me back on quota for 2022.
